There's an art to seduction, and it all starts with great design. Most of the time great design takes years or a designer or both. However, in a recent trip downtown to Bond Street in New York City we stumbled upon a little shortcut to the perfect, sexy room:
An ex-hedgefunder-turned-design-maven, Evan Lobel opened Lobel Modern in 1998. He carries a handpicked, out-of-this-world selection of the best furniture designers from the '40s thru '80s including Edward Wormley, Tommi Parzinger, Harvey Probber, Vladimir Kagan, Paul Evans, and Karl Springer. In short, Evan spends countless hours plucking out the best of the best from estates, auctions, and European flea markets … so you don't have to.
We adore the fact that Evan sells directly to our Bungalux readers (he sells to both public and the trade) and we love even more that he takes on one or two design clients every year.
Evan decorated our friend's Upper East Side townhome head-to-toe a couple years ago and, well, let's just say, our friend has a very hot wife now, further proving that with Evan's glam pieces we guarantee you'll be able to go uptown, downtown, or anywhere else it is you want to visit.
