Wimbledon's going on, which got us thinking. Sure, we'd love to have Roger Federer's forehand, Andy Roddick's serve, Maria Sharapova's legs, and Rafa Nadal.
Whoops. Did we say Rafa Nadal? We meant his topspin.
But if we can’t have any of the above, we’ll take the outfits ... many of which can be bought online.
Maybe we're biased, but we think tennis has every other sports attire beat. In fact, we know from personal experience that tennis attire's sexy. We strutted into Starbucks in East Hampton the other day in our Stella McCartney tennis dress and turned more than a few hedge funders' heads. So, guys and girls, here's what’s cool to wear on and off the court this summer.
Guys: On you we love brightly colored Nike but, remember, you need to be tan to wear it. A few of our favorites in the Nike line: The lime and yellow Summer Rafa Crews paired with white shorts, and the summer RF Trophy Stripe Polo with white shorts or khaki for après-court. Speaking of RF, we're begging you to stay away from too many prints or too many RFs. RF stands for Roger Federer's initials, not yours.
Girls: We're still obsessed with our blue Stella McCartney flower dress that Caroline Wozniacki wears. We wear ours with a pink sports bra under it and, yes, that was the one that made that hedge fund guy with his own plane swoon. It's sold out online (we're trendsetters), so you can call your local Adidas Store and ask for it by name. We like the Nike Maria Statement Skort because it's quite a few inches shorter than normal tennis skirts, and we adore Martha McGuinness' front tie dress because it makes our curves even curvier.
And, unlike other sports, tennis attire can be worn all day, while strutting around the Hamptons or Malibu Country Mart or anyplace in between.
So get those thighs into shape because love love starts right now.
