Real Estate in Miami is Hotter than the Weather
A Record Sale in Miami (and A-Rod and Versace's Houses)
In case you missed our article on London Real Estate, didn’t read our piece on multiple offers, and have avoided the Wall Street Journal for the past couple months, we’re going to give you a news flash:
The luxury real estate market is on fire. And the latest market to catch the flames is Miami.
The most expensive house ever sold in Miami last week for a record setting and earth shattering $47 million. The oceanfront estate located on Indian Creek Island is 30,000 square feet and was developed by builders Shlomi Alexander and Felix Cohen. The mega-agent team of “THE JILLS” of Coldwell Banker wouldn't reveal who purchased the property, but rumor has it it was a Russian buyer who purchased the property through an LLC.
The newly constructed home features 10 bedrooms, 14 bathrooms, a 3D theater, a 100-foot resort-style pool, a full spa pavilion, and a state-of-the-art glass-enclosed waterfront gym.
The home is joined in the stratospheric Miami real estate market by Gianni Versace's Italian mansion, Casa Casuarina, which was recently listed at $125 million.
In addition, New York Yankee Alex Rodriguez just listed his home for $38 million. A-Rod purchased the home during his Cameron Diaz days - yes, he's a figure who we define by his girlfriend-at-the-time - for $24 million. The 20,000 square foot modern home is on exclusive North Bay Road and has nine bedrooms, a theater, gym, and 3,000 square foot sports room.
