Today's style pick is directed at four groups of people:
1. Narcissists
2. Those whose style is stuck in the '70s and '80s and use Boogie Nights as decorating inspiration
3. Gisele or other supermodels who shouldn't be away from a mirror. Ever.
4. Those of us who don't fall in 1, 2, or 3 but are cool enough to get away with the trend.
What is it?
You guessed it: Mirrored walls.
Mirrored walls aren't for every room certainly, but I love them in living rooms, dining rooms, sunrooms, and, yes, even in bedrooms (a category not mentioned above, since we are a PG-13 site). Check out the mirrored paneling pictured above as well ... it's a great way to get the trend without having to mirror an entire wall. Oh, and I think the way this trend works best is by covering the mirrored wall with art and even other mirrors to break up the space a bit.
I pulled six great examples of the trend and see if you agree: Too much mirror is not always a bad thing. And, unlike the string bikini, the mirrored wall works even if you're not a Brazilian supermodel.
